Types

Types of Butterfly Valves:

  • Wafer Type: Designed to fit between two flanges; held in place by flange bolts.
  • Lug Type: Has threaded lugs outside the valve body to connect bolts for each flange.
  • Flanged Type: Flanges at both ends for direct bolting to pipeline flanges.
  • Double Offset (High Performance): Minimizes seat contact during operation; better sealing and longer life.
  • Triple Offset (Metal Seated): Designed for zero-leakage applications under high pressure/temperature.
  • PTFE/PFA Lined Type: For aggressive chemical applications.
  • Rubber Lined Type: General-purpose, suitable for water and mild chemicals.
