Globe Valve
A Globe Valve is a linear motion valve used to start, stop, and regulate the flow of fluid in pipelines. Unlike gate valves, globe valves offer better throttling capabilities due to their unique design where the disc moves perpendicular to the seat. They are commonly used in systems where precise flow control is required.
Types
Types of Globe Valves:
T-Pattern (Standard Type): Offers high pressure drop; ideal for throttling.
- Y-Pattern (Oblique Type): Lower pressure drop; suitable for high-pressure systems.
- Angle Pattern: Changes flow direction by 90°; used in pulsating or corrosive flows.
- Forged Steel Globe Valves: Compact design, typically used in high-pressure steam and oil & gas systems.
- Bellow Sealed Globe Valves: Prevent leakage, ideal for hazardous or toxic fluids.
