MICA BAND HEATERS

MICA BAND HEATERS

Mica band heaters are cost-effective solutions for heating cylindrical surfaces, using
mica sheets as insulation with embedded nickel-chrome resistance wires, encased in a
stainless-steel sheath (typically SS 304). They operate at temperatures up to 900°F (482°C) and
offer fast heat-up times with a maximum surface loading of 8 W/cm2. Energy-saving models
include ceramic fiber-insulated jackets, reducing heat loss by approximately 20%.
